Located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, on the Philadelphia Main Line, Bryn Mawr Psychiatry is the general adult and addiction psychiatry practice of Roger Cambor, MD.  Dr. Cambor attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston.  After a transitional internship at Baylor Medical College in Houston, he completed a residency in psychiatry at the Payne Whitney Dr. Roger Cambor, MD.Clinic/ New York Hospital, Cornell University Medical College (now New York Presbyterian Hospital). Following residency he completed a fellowship in addiction psychiatry through the Departments of Psychiatry and Public Health at Cornell University Medical College (now Weil-Cornell Medical College).

Dr. Cambor maintained a private practice in Manhattan, then Boulder, Colorado, before moving to the Philadelphia area in 2017. Since moving to the Main Line Dr. Cambor served as a medical director for a dual diagnosis residential treatment center; he served in a similar capacity at a residential treatment program dealing with sexual disorders and sexual addiction. Dr. Cambor has assisted with outpatient evaluation and pharmacotherapy in multi-provider clinical settings, while also establishing his private practice at Bryn Mawr Psychiatry, LLC.

Dr. Cambor specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex cases.  He is particularly interested in trauma, dissociation and the phenomena of healing and recovery.  Dr. Cambor has extensive experience diagnosing and treating patients with substance use and dual-focus problems.  Dr. Cambor is a trained, psychodynamically-oriented psychotherapist; he integrates medication management with psychotherapy and nonprescription treatment approaches, such as: mind-body approaches, complementary or natural approaches among others.  Dr. Cambor is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in the practice of general psychiatry, with added qualifications in addiction psychiatry.
